Pareidol lets you photograph a cloud, trace a shape you imagine in it, and turn it into a watercolor picture saved in your personal gallery. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. We try to collect as little as possible.

01Information we handle

• Photos you take or choose (your "cloud photos"): stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us or used for AI generation.
• Your line drawing and the word you enter: when you generate an AI picture, the traced line (as an image) and your short word are sent to our generation server and to our AI provider to create the picture.
• The generated picture and your entries (name, comment, place, tags): stored on your device.
• An anonymous ID: we use anonymous sign-in (no name, no email) to count your daily free generations. No account is required.
• Purchase information: if you subscribe or buy something, purchase/subscription status and an anonymous purchase ID are processed to unlock features and restore purchases.
• Basic device/technical data: needed for the app and the above services to work (e.g., device type, app version, network requests).
• Approximate location for weather: to tint the daily invitation by the local weather, our server uses your device's IP address to estimate a coarse area (about city level) and look up the current weather. Your IP is not stored; only a rounded location is briefly cached.
• Advertising data: the app shows ads through Google AdMob (rewarded, native, and banner ads). To select, deliver, and measure ads, Google may collect an advertising identifier (Android's Advertising ID; on iOS, the IDFA — though as explained in section 04, we do not access it there), device/app information, and an approximate location estimated from your IP address. See section 04 below.

02How we use it

• To create your AI picture from your line drawing and word.
• To keep your gallery on your device.
• To count free generations and manage subscriptions/purchases.
• To keep the service working, safe, and to prevent abuse.

03Third-party services

To provide the app, limited data is processed by:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore) — anonymous sign-in.
• Our generation server and our AI image generation provider (Google Gemini) — receive your line drawing and word to generate the picture.
• RevenueCat and Google Play Billing / Apple App Store — process purchases and subscriptions.
• ipwho.is / ipapi.co and Open-Meteo — estimate a coarse location from your IP and look up the current weather for the daily invitation.
• Google AdMob — serves rewarded, native, and banner ads, and may collect advertising identifiers, device information, and an approximate IP-based location to deliver and measure ads. See Google's ad technology policy.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

04Advertising

Pareidol shows ads through Google AdMob:

• Rewarded ads: on the home screen, once you use up today's free generations, you can choose to watch a short video ad to gain one extra generation for the day. Watching is entirely optional and only affects your daily quota.
• Native and banner ads: small ad units may appear in the "everyone's sky" feed. Subscribers to Pareidol Plus do not see these ads.

To select, deliver, and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect an advertising identifier (Android's Advertising ID; on iOS, the IDFA), device and app information, and an approximate location estimated from your IP address. We do not send your name, email, or account ID to AdMob. Depending on your region and settings, ads shown may be non-personalized. For details, see Google's Advertising and Privacy policy.

05Storage and retention

• Your photos, generated pictures, and entries stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• Generation requests (line drawing + word) are processed to create the picture; usage counts are kept in an anonymous form to manage free quotas.

06Your choices

• You can delete any entry in the app at any time; uninstalling removes the app's local data.
• You can choose not to add a cloud photo, or to record without AI (line and word only).

Data use for quality improvement (optional)

In Settings, you can opt in to "Help improve generation quality." If you turn this on, your traced line input and the resulting generated picture, along with the style setting, may be saved to help us improve the AI generation. This is off by default and only applies when you enable it. We do not include anything that identifies you personally (no name, no email, no raw account ID, no caption or comment text) in this data. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

07Children

Pareidol is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

08Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method is 100% secure, but we aim to keep your data safe.

09Changes

We update this policy as the app evolves (for example, this update on 2026-07-19 added information about advertising through Google AdMob). We will post the updated policy at this URL with a new effective date.

Pareidol（以下「本アプリ」）は、空の雲を撮り、そこに見えた形を線でなぞって、自分だけの図鑑に水彩画として残すアプリです。本ポリシーは、本アプリが扱うデータとその目的を説明します。収集は最小限を心がけています。

01扱う情報

• 撮影・選択した写真（雲写真）：端末内にのみ保存され、当社にアップロードされず、AI生成にも使いません。
• あなたが描いた線と入力した一言：AI生成時に、なぞった線（画像）と一言が生成サーバーおよびAIプロバイダに送信され、絵を作ります。
• 生成された絵・各記録（名前・コメント・場所・タグ）：端末内に保存されます。
• 匿名ID：1日の無料生成回数を数えるため匿名サインイン（氏名・メール不要）を使用。アカウント登録は不要です。
• 購入情報：サブスクや購入を行った場合、機能解放・購入復元のために購入/サブスク状態と匿名の購入IDを処理します。
• 基本的な端末・技術情報：アプリと上記サービスの動作に必要な範囲（端末種別・アプリ版・通信など）。
• 天気のためのおおよその位置：日替わりの「今日のさそい」を天気に合わせるため、当社サーバーが端末のIPアドレスからおおよその地域（市区町村程度）を推定し、その天気を取得します。IPは保存しません。丸めた位置を短時間キャッシュするだけです。
• 広告関連データ：本アプリは Google AdMob を利用して広告（リワード広告・ネイティブ広告・バナー広告）を配信します。広告の選定・配信・効果測定のため、Google が広告識別子（Androidの広告ID。iOSではIDFAですが、下記04のとおり当社はiOSでは取得していません）、端末・アプリ情報、IPアドレスから推定したおおよその位置情報を収集する場合があります。詳しくは下記04をご覧ください。

02利用目的

• 線と一言からAIの絵を作るため。
• 図鑑を端末内に保持するため。
• 無料生成回数の管理・サブスク/購入の管理のため。
• サービスの維持・安全確保・不正防止のため。

03第三者サービス

アプリ提供のため、限定的なデータが次の事業者で処理されます：

• Google Firebase（認証・Firestore）：匿名サインイン。

各事業者は自社のプライバシーポリシーに従いデータを扱います。当社はデータを販売しません。

04広告について

本アプリは Google AdMob を利用して広告を配信しています。

• リワード広告：ホーム画面で、その日の無料生成回数を使い切ったあと、短い動画広告を最後まで視聴すると、その日のAI生成回数が1回増えます。視聴は任意で、その日の生成枠にのみ影響します。
• ネイティブ広告・バナー広告：「みんなの空」フィードに小さな広告枠が表示されることがあります。Pareidol Plus のご購読者にはこれらの広告は表示されません。

広告の選定・配信・効果測定のため、Google AdMob が広告識別子（Androidの広告ID、iOSではIDFA）、端末・アプリ情報、IPアドレスから推定したおおよその位置情報を収集する場合があります。氏名・メールアドレス・アカウントIDをAdMobに渡すことはありません。地域や設定によっては、パーソナライズされない広告が配信されることもあります。詳しくはGoogleの広告とプライバシーに関するポリシーをご覧ください。

05保存と保持

• 写真・生成画像・記録は、削除またはアンインストールするまで端末内に残ります。
• 生成リクエスト（線＋一言）は絵の作成のために処理され、利用回数は無料枠管理のため匿名の形で保持されます。

06あなたの選択

• アプリ内で各記録をいつでも削除でき、アンインストールで端末内データは消えます。
• 雲写真を付けない、AIを使わず記録（線と一言のみ）する、も選べます。

品質向上のためのデータ利用（任意）

設定画面で「生成の品質向上に協力」をオンにすることができます。同意した場合のみ、なぞった線の入力と生成結果の絵、画風設定が、生成品質の改善のために保存されることがあります。この設定は既定でオフで、オンにした場合にのみ適用されます。氏名・メール・生の（未加工の）アカウントID・見立ての言葉やひとことのテキストなど、個人を特定できる情報はこのデータに含めません。この設定は設定画面からいつでもオフにできます。

07子どもについて

本アプリは13歳未満（または各国の最低年齢未満）を対象としていません。子どもから故意にデータを収集しません。

08セキュリティ

送信中・保存時のデータ保護に合理的な対策を講じます。完全な安全は保証できませんが、安全な取り扱いに努めます。

09変更

アプリの進化に応じて本ポリシーを更新することがあります（例：本改定〔2026-07-19〕では Google AdMob による広告について追記しました）。更新版は新しい制定日とともにこのURLに掲載します。
